Bridging the Generation Gap
How to Lead a Multigenerational Team
with Sheetal Sujan
“Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.”
— George Orwell
About the Workshop
Today’s workplace is unlike any other in history, for the first time, four generations are working side by side: Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z. Each brings different values, communication styles, expectations, and definitions of success. What looks like conflict is often just a translation problem.
This half-day workshop gives leaders, managers, and team leads the insight and practical tools to understand what drives each generation, communicate across those differences, give and receive feedback that actually lands, and build teams that work better, together.
What You'll Learn
- The values, work styles, and communication preferences of each generation
- Why generational clashes happen, and how to reframe them
- How to adapt your communication and leadership style to each generation
- How to give and receive feedback across generational differences
- The 3 keys to bridging gaps: Flexibility, Empathy, and Curiosity
- How upbringing and context shape workplace behavior, the Generational Ripple Effect
