Vantor Satellite Imagery — Suriname & Guyana
The sharpest commercial view of Suriname and Guyana — ordered locally, delivered into your GIS.
Lybra Training, Coaching & Consulting N.V. is the authorized Vantor reseller for Suriname and Guyana. Vantor operates the WorldView Legion, WorldView-3, WorldView-2 and GeoEye-1 satellites — the most capable commercial imaging constellation in orbit — with an archive reaching back to the early 2000s. Through Lybra you get local pricing, local support, and imagery delivered straight into ArcGIS Online, ready for analysis.
Authorized Reseller — Suriname & Guyana
Why Vantor imagery
30 cm-class resolution
Distinguish individual vehicles, dredges, rooftops, and mining pits. WorldView Legion and WorldView-3 collect native 30 cm-class imagery; 15 cm HD processing is available for selected products.
Revisit up to 15 times per day
The Legion constellation can revisit the same location on Earth up to 15 times a day, so a tasking request in the rainy season still has a realistic chance of a cloud-free capture.
Deep archive, from 2001 onward
Establish a baseline for any site in Suriname or Guyana and compare it with today. Change detection over years — not just months.
Eight multispectral bands
Legion delivers panchromatic plus eight multispectral bands (including red edge, coastal blue and yellow). That means vegetation health, water turbidity and bare-soil mapping — not just a pretty picture.
Positional accuracy you can survey against
Vantor imagery is known for its geolocation accuracy, which matters when you overlay cadastral parcels, utility networks or concession boundaries.
What we deliver
Archive imagery
Existing scenes from the Vantor catalogue, selected by date, cloud cover and coverage of your area of interest — Baselines, historical comparison, fast turnaround
Tasking (new collection)
A satellite is scheduled to capture your area on a defined window — Current-state assessment, incident response, project milestones
Change-detection pairs
A before and an after scene over the same area, co-registered and delivered together — Mining and deforestation monitoring, construction progress, environmental incidents
Basemaps (Vivid)
Seamless, cloud-free mosaics for large areas — National or district basemaps, portals, planning
3D / elevation (Precision3D)
Elevation and 3D surface products derived from stereo imagery — Flood modelling, infrastructure design, line-of-sight
All products are delivered as analysis-ready GeoTIFF and, on request, published as tiled imagery layers in ArcGIS Online so your team can view them in web maps and apps immediately.
Built for Suriname and Guyana
Environmental and mining monitoring
Track illegal mining, deforestation, and river sedimentation across the interior with before/after imagery — evidence that stands up in a report or a courtroom.
Water and flood management
Support early-warning and post-event assessment with high-resolution captures of flood extent, and elevation data for hydrological modelling.
Infrastructure, energy and utilities
Map road, power and water networks, verify assets, and plan expansions against current, high-resolution imagery rather than years-old basemaps.
Land administration and urban planning
Update parcel boundaries, detect unpermitted construction, and plan districts with imagery accurate enough to work alongside survey data.
Oil, gas and offshore logistics
Monitor onshore facilities, ports and supply bases; provide up-to-date situational imagery for HSE and planning.
Agriculture and forestry
Use multispectral bands for crop and plantation health, forest inventory, and concession compliance.
How it works
- 1. Define your area — send us a boundary (shapefile, KML, GeoJSON, or a sketch on a map). Minimum area applies.
- 2. We search the archive — Lybra checks available scenes, verifies cloud cover over your polygon (not just the whole scene), and sends you a shortlist with preview thumbnails.
- 3. You choose — archive scene, new tasking, or both for a change-detection pair. You receive a fixed quotation in USD.
- 4. We deliver — analysis-ready files, and optionally a hosted layer in your ArcGIS Online organisation with a ready-made web map.
- 5. We support — training, interpretation, and integration into your existing GIS workflows through Lybra and GISsat.
Typical turnaround: archive orders within days; tasking depends on weather and priority.
Why order through Lybra
- Local, authorized partner — invoicing in Suriname, support in Dutch and English, no international procurement hurdles.
- End-to-end — from the first boundary sketch to a published ArcGIS Online map, one team handles it.
- GIS depth — Lybra is an Esri Partner and works alongside GISsat N.V., the Esri distributor for Suriname, so imagery lands inside a working GIS, not on a hard drive.
- Proven in the field — we have delivered Vantor imagery for environmental investigations, monitoring, and planning projects in Suriname.
Frequently asked questions
How small an area can I order?
There is a minimum order size. Contact us with your area and we will advise on the most cost-effective option.
Can I get imagery from a specific date?
If a scene exists in the archive for that date and your area, yes. Otherwise we can task a new capture.
What about cloud cover in the rainy season?
We check cloud cover over your exact area, not just the whole scene, and Legion’s high revisit rate gives more chances at a clear capture.
Can you host the imagery for me?
Yes. We publish delivered imagery as tiled layers in ArcGIS Online and build the web map or app around it.
Do you also sell other satellite data?
Yes — Lybra is also the local partner for Omeo Space, giving access to a broad multi-constellation catalogue at other resolutions and price points. We will recommend the right source for your need and budget.
