The energy at SEOGS 2025 was undeniable. Over the course of
four days, visionaries, innovators, and leaders gathered to discuss the infrastructure,
investments, and innovations shaping Suriname’s future in the energy, oil, and
gas sector.
We at Lybra were honored to be part of this pivotal moment. From technical talks to live demonstrations, from digital twins to 360° VR training experiences, our team proudly showcased how geospatial intelligence and human-centered development are paving the way forward.
A Nation on the Rise—But Are We Preparing Its People?
While the spotlight was on infrastructure, technology, and investment strategies, a deeper question emerged for us:
Are we preparing not only our roads and infrastructure —but our people—for what’s to come?
Yes, we need infrastructure.
Yes, we need innovation and international partnerships.
But just as essential is the investment in our human capital—our workforce, our leaders, our youth.
Suriname’s future depends not only on digital transformation—it also depends on people transformation.
What We Do: Bridging Technology with Human Potential
At Lybra, we develop people through:
- Leadership development for rising and seasoned leaders
- Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience coaching
- Productivity and communication workshops tailored for modern teams
- Culture-building programs for effective local-expat collaboration
- AI workshops to prepare the workforce for the future of work
Together, we help companies and communities digitally evolve while remaining deeply human.
Why People Transformation Matters Now
Suriname stands at the edge of rapid change. Before the oil flows and systems scale, this is the window of opportunity to strengthen our foundation from within.
If we wait until things accelerate, we will be in reaction mode.
But if we act now, we prepare leaders who can lead with wisdom, teams who can collaborate with intention, and professionals who can adapt with confidence.
At Lybra, we’re focused on:
- Shaping the minds and mindsets of leaders, innovators, and change-makers
- Helping Surinamese professionals gain the tools they need to lead locally and globally
- Creating training ecosystems that keep skills, values, and excellence rooted in our own soil
The SEOGS Experience
At Booth F5, together with our partner GISSAT —strategically placed in Exhibition Hall 2—we welcomed a constant stream of visitors. From business executives to policymakers and students, many came to:
- Explore our live Lidar and mapping demos
- Experience VR-powered safety and onboarding simulations
- Engage in thought-provoking conversations on the future of digital planning in Suriname
Our highlight was the Technical Panel Talk presented by Krieshen Ramkhelawan, Director of GISsat N.V., titled “Unlocking the Power of Geospatial Hubs and Digital Twins for Suriname’s Energy and Infrastructure Sectors.”
His message echoed what we deeply believe: smart data leads to smart decisions, but smart people turn those decisions into impact.
Let’s Co-Create the Future
As Suriname steps into this new chapter, we call on all sectors—public and private, large and small—to balance their investments:
- In systems and in people
- In technology and in trust
- In progress and in presence
We’re here to support both journeys:
🛠️ The digital transformation of systems and operations
💡 The people transformation of hearts, minds, and cultures
Let’s prepare our nation not only for growth—but for lasting greatness.
With gratitude to everyone who visited our booth, connected with our teams, or shared in a meaningful conversation—thank you.
This is just the beginning.
Let’s build smarter systems and stronger people, together.
Warm regards,
The Lybra Team
